The Problem
The need for an efficient online timekeeping solution
Starting with August 7, 2017, the daily timesheet became mandatory with the amendment of Article 119 of the Labor Code. Hence there was a necessity for an efficient solution through which you can easily manage the timekeeping process.
The system we developed aimed to help those who required a way to simplify the time-keeping process.

Our solution is addressed to small and medium companies. Currently, the application is used by over 3,500 companies. It enables working hours tracking for almost 80,000 employees.

Modern Web-based Technology
The platform was developed in Laravel, a stable framework that allowed us to build an easy-to-use system with an intuitive registration process.
All data records are easy to view online and can be easily downloaded in PDF format.

The main goal was to launch a solid application that works without issues.
Since we wanted to keep the application free to use and make it scalable over time, it had to be easy to maintain.
Developing the application from the idea stage to the launch phase, lasted 10 weeks.
Approach
Efficient, Law Compliant Solution
The first step in our approach was to make sure that our system is valid, and complies with the Romanian Labor Code as well as the EU law.
Once we completed the research phase, we began to work on establishing the minimum specifications, followed by a well-structured plan intended to create an easy-to-use online application.

It all started from our team`s need for a way to keep track of our work hours. The idea quickly grew into something more, once we realized that a free and easy-to-use time-keeping solution was a necessity for other companies too. I am proud of the team who worked on this and I am very pleased with the results.
Nowadays, an efficient web-based application must look good and be easy to use.
We tried to combine the design with the functionality so that the user could benefit from it and enjoy an impeccable experience when using the application.
Working on this project was a challenge mainly due to the quick turnaround that was asked of us. My main priorities as a web developer were to make sure the application works without any issues and limits any potential user mistakes.
Technologies
The main technologies we used were the PHP MVC Laravel and Bootstrap CSS & JS frameworks for the front end, to ensure a quality result in a short time while facilitating the scalability we wanted.
